Brilliant Beginnings featured in GQ magazine

GQ magazine has published a feature: ‘It’s time to be grown up about surrogacy’. The piece interviews Michael Tierney-Gore, Brilliant Beginnings’ first dad through surrogacy, and talks about how Brilliant Beginnings was founded in 2013 by Helen Prosser and Natalie Gamble as the UK’s first full-service surrogacy agency.

Our founder Helen Prosser is also interviewed, commenting on anti-surrogacy opponents who say that surrogacy turns children into commodities:

“Brilliant Beginnings’ Helen Prosser says that’s a gross misunderstanding. “This is no different from advances in medical treatment that give intended parents the opportunity to have IVF cycles. It is not commoditising – people wouldn’t do surrogacy if they didn’t need to.”
