Nothing matters more than getting your match right
We have spent years evolving our expertise on how to find you the best match. The way we do things is really special, but more importantly it works.
What Brilliant Surrogates say…
Matching that is truly personal
Every match is expertly crafted. We will hand pick intended parents based on your unique circumstances and personality. You can trust us to find you the right match, drawing on our wealth of experience, attention to detail and the exquisite care we take to get it right for you.
It gives us a responsibility we take incredibly seriously.
Matching that gets beneath the surface
Our education, preparation and screening programme has been fine-tuned over years to help us get to know you really well, and to give you the support and space you need to explore what you need as a surrogate.
Brilliant Surrogates often tell us that they learned so much about their identities, their communication styles and their values from working with us. As well as all the expertise in our team, we have input from a specialist clinical psychologist who will dive deep into your motivations and values and draw up a personality profile.
For us, the match isn’t just about making sure your preferences and criteria are aligned with your intended parents – that’s the easy bit. It’s about identifying intended parents you share values and interests with, so that your surrogacy journey runs smoothly and, if it’s what you want, turns into a lifelong friendship.
Matching that takes the stress away
You can rely on us to have any tricky conversations for you. We will already have spoken to your intended parents about their views on termination, their wishes for the birth and much more. We will also do the talking about money, having worked this through with you separately. We want all our surrogates to be comfortable financially, so will only ever match you with intended parents who are clear about what your family needs to make surrogacy possible for you, and can afford it.
We will give you detailed information about the intended parents we propose as a match (on paper in the first instance) and it’s completely your choice whether to proceed (although it’s rare for Brilliant Surrogates to feel we haven’t got it right).
If you want to move forward we will arrange a guided match call with your intended parents. We will walk you through everything we have discussed with each of you, to give you confidence and set a strong foundation for your relationship and next steps if you are both happy to proceed.
What are the intended parents we work with like?
We are a passionately inclusive organisation, and work with a range of different-sex couples, same-sex couples and single parents of all genders (including transgender parents).
Our intended parents come from all parts of the UK and all walks of life. Some are high profile, or professionals, others run farms or independent shops, work in call centres, are stay-at-home parents or have elderly families they care for. Most have saved and budgeted carefully to work with us which gives us a huge responsibility to give you all the very best care.
What they have in common is that all want a safe surrogacy journey with the best available support for their surrogate.
What it feels like to match on our side
“The matching process is both nerve-wracking and exciting. It involves so much time, effort, care and hope.
Ahead of the match call, I am always nervous that, despite the information shared during our initial calls and then through the profiles, something won’t sit quite right with either the surrogate or the intended parents and they will decide not to move ahead (even though that has never yet happened!). I get excited when the conversation starts to flow without me having to steer it.
There is then more nervous excitement after the call, when none of us can sit still waiting to hear from everyone about whether they want to move forward. We always have a little celebration when the messages come through to say yes!”
Nicky, Client Manager since 2021
