Becoming a UK parent through US surrogacy – what impact will the Trump Presidency have?
Free online event
Thursday 27th February 2025
7pm – 8pm GMT
Long established as the most popular and safest international surrogacy option, US surrogacy offers UK intended parents an ethical and legally-recognised path to parenthood. But what impact will a Trump Presidency have on surrogacy in the US, and what should UK intended parents be thinking about?
This free online event is for UK intended parents at an early stage of considering US surrogacy, as well as for those already mid process with questions about whether anything has changed for them.
Our expert panel, with leading legal speakers from both the UK and the US, will cover key questions for UK parents to consider:
• Why would I choose the US for surrogacy? Is anything likely to change because of the new Presidency?
• What are the implications of Trump’s Executive Order on birthright citizenship? Would I be able to get UK travel documents if a US passport were not available for my baby?
• What does the US surrogacy process involve? How much does it cost?
• How does the law work – both in the US and in the UK?
Our team at Brilliant Beginnings and NGA Law will be joined by special guests from the USA, giving you the opportunity to hear from the experts on both sides of the Atlantic.
