We’re hosting a free in-person event on US surrogacy for LGBTQ+ intended parents on 17th November 2022

A surrogacy journey in the US offers intended parents a tried and tested, ethical route to completing their families. Brilliant Beginnings and NGA Law have been at the forefront of championing LGBTQ parents for many years, and we continue that support with our trusted US agencies and organisations.

At this in-person event, we will explain the steps involved in finding a US surrogacy agency, as well as the practicalities of your journey and how it differs based on your needs.

Helen Prosser, Brilliant Beginnings

Caring, energetic and creative, Helen has worked professionally in the field of fertility, donation and surrogacy for a decade. She is a member of the HFEA’s National Donation Strategy Group (an advisory committee of national egg/sperm donation experts hand-picked by the Human Fertilisation and Embryology Authority), one of the few international members of the American Bar Association’s Assisted Reproduction and Technology Committee, and a former trustee of the National Gamete Donation Trust.

As a director of the UK’s leading fertility law firm, she has long experience managing professional services for families created through assisted reproduction, as well as supporting campaigning and policy work on surrogacy and donation. Helen is a CEDR accredited mediator. She has participated in leading international conferences on surrogacy and has an extensive network of contacts with agencies, medics and lawyers, in the UK and internationally. She has two grown-up children.

Monico Amos, CTshipper UK

Monico is the Head of CT shipper UK, a specialised gamete and embryo courier company. He directly helps intended parents on the process of freezing gametes and embryos in the UK for export overseas to assist in their family building journey.

Jessica Williams, Family Source Consultants

Jessica Williams is the International Relations Manager for Family Source Consultants. Jessica was born and raised outside Chicago, Illinois, but moved to England to pursue an MSc and has now lived here for nearly 15 years. She and her husband welcomed their oldest son in 2020 with the help of Family Source Consultants and their incredible gestational surrogate.

Jessica’s previous career was in museums and heritage. She earned her PhD in Archaeology from the University of Cambridge, and her research focused on understanding the activities of children in prehistoric cultures.

Jessica spent many years pursuing various fertility options in order to have children, and finally became a mum through what she refers to as “the miracle of surrogacy”. After her son was born Jessica realized that she wanted to support others who also needed assistance to build their families. She returned to Family Source Consultants and feels privileged to help Intended Parents with their own journeys.

Jessica lives with her husband, two sons, and dog in Dorset. She enjoys spending time with her family exploring the countryside, looking for every tractor and truck along the way. She also loves traveling and can’t wait to introduce her children to the joy of exploring new countries, meeting people from various cultures, and making sure they stop in every museum possible.

Rebecca Lyons, Family Source Consultants

Rebecca Lyons is an Egg Donor Coordinator for Family Source Consultants. Rebecca has a degree in Psychology and enjoys connecting with others in Psychology, Behavioral Health, and overall wellness. She started exploring egg donation in 2014 after learning of a family member who struggled with infertility.

Rebecca has completed five egg donations and is aware of at least five children who have been delivered since completing her donations! She is also a 2x surrogate, having delivered a baby boy in 2016 and another baby boy in 2020 for intended parents in different parts of the world.

Each family she has assisted holds a very special place in her heart. They are considered extended family and still keep in contact today.

Rebecca is very passionate about helping create families, and she loves that she can now help support others on their journeys to parenthood.

Rebecca currently resides in Arizona with her husband and their four children. They enjoy hiking and spending time in the wilderness when the desert weather permits. She is also an avid traveler and enjoys learning the history of each location she visits.

Kelly Blaxall, NGA Law
