We’re hosting an in-person event on US surrogacy on 26 April 2023

In-person seminar

7pm Wednesday April 26th 2023

55 Leroy Street, London SE1 4SN

Meet some of the top US surrogacy experts, including UK experts from Brilliant Beginnings and NGA Law, and leading professionals visiting in person from the US. Our four expert speakers will cover various aspects of a US surrogacy journey for UK parents, with the opportunity to ask questions, both after the event and through personal mini consultations. Come and meet:

  • Helen Prosser, Brilliant Beginnings
  • Dr Guy Ringler, California Fertility Partners
  • Kelly Blaxall, NGA Law

A surrogacy journey in the US offers intended parents a tested ethical route to creating a family. Many want to understand is how much it will cost and how long will it take, as well as the process, avoiding pitfalls and how to make the best choice of professional partners to minimise any risk of complication along the way. We can answer those questions and more.

Brilliant Beginnings and NGA Law together have more experience of US surrogacy than any other UK professionals, and we are committed to creating UK families through US surrogacy in a safe, ethical and legal way.

Meet the experts

Helen Prosser, Brilliant Beginnings and NGA Law

Helen founded Brilliant Beginnings in 2013 with Natalie Gamble, to provide safe legal pathways for ethical surrogacy in the UK and the USA. She owns and manages both Brilliant Beginnings and NGA Law and is a CEDR accredited mediator. Having worked in surrogacy for over a decade, Helen has substantial practical surrogacy knowledge as well as an extensive network of contacts with surrogacy agencies, medics and lawyers in the UK and US. She is a regular speaker at national and international conferences and can often be seen sharing her expertise on the BBC and in the national media (including Vogue, GQ magazine and more).  She helped write the Department of Health’s best practice guidance on UK surrogacy in 2018, was a member of the HFEA’s National Donation Strategy Group and is a former trustee of the National Gamete Donation Trust. She is also one of the few international members of the American Bar Association’s Assisted Reproduction and Technology Committee.

Dr Guy Ringler, California Fertility Partners

Dr Guy Ringler is a reproductive endocrinologist who practices in Los Angeles, California and has over thirty years’ experience. He was one of the world’s first doctors to help gay men have babies through egg donation and surrogacy, and has a large international referral practice. He is known as one of the leading US clinicians for surrogacy, with decades of experience helping many thousands of families. He is on the advisory board of Men Having Babies, and has been selected by his peers as one of the ‘Best Doctors in America’ and as one of California’s ‘Super Doctors’.  In 2010, Dr Ringler received a Family Building Award by the American Fertility Association.

Kelly Blaxall, NGA Law

Kelly is a senior member of the NGA Law team who works closely with Natalie Gamble. With more than five years’ experience working on hundreds of US surrogacy cases as part of the UK’s leading fertility law firm, she has extensive knowledge of how the law works in practice.  Kelly advises Brilliant Beginnings clients in legal reviews, provides ongoing support and advice and represents parents in parental order applications after US surrogacy.  She also has leading expertise in British nationality and passport applications for children born through international surrogacy.
