One family’s story of US surrogacy with Brilliant Beginnings

We felt absolutely overwhelmed by the lovely words written by these new parents we have been privileged to support through their US surrogacy journey. They don’t wish to be named, but the photo and words are all theirs.

We have recently completed a US surrogacy journey with Brilliant Beginnings and just wanted to put a few words together to assure and encourage anyone thinking about starting a surrogacy journey to get in touch with them.

Nicky, our case worker, was fantastic from start to finish. Warm, helpful, knowledgeable and so easy to talk to. BB helped us with an international surrogacy in the USA. It seemed so daunting and overwhelming in the beginning as everything is different over there from the legal position of surrogacy to insurance and obviously the emotional situation of your surrogate and baby being so far away. But each step was handled so well that it didn’t feel at all daunting as we were moving through the process as everything was explained so well from the big questions down to the tiny ones and information was provided each step of the way so we knew what to expect.

We were introduced to everyone we needed to make the journey smooth, from the surrogacy agency, to the fertility clinic, US attorneys and insurance brokers but more than that, BB stayed involved to ensure everything moved along, helped chase things up and get the answers to questions for us when we were worried about bothering people. 

Everyone on the recommended list has been pre-vetted so you know you are in safe hands whoever you decide to use for the different parties involved. 

Without their help, support and guidance, I would not be sat here writing this with a much-loved, long-awaited and gorgeous baby in my lap. 

We also used their partner firm NGA law to assist with all the legal side and they are currently helping us through the necessary steps to be declared as baby’s legal parents in the UK. All of the team at NGA have been so responsive and amazing but we have worked most with Xander who is just so lovely and so great at talking us through what is quite a confusing situation and making it all seem so simple and always makes time for us and answers all the endless questions we have!

And to potential intended parents who are considering surrogacy, I can’t help with that huge decision but I can without any hesitancy say that if you decide to go ahead, you will be so happy you chose Brilliant Beginnings.
